I know I know, you want to keep you staff spots to your friends and trusted players but hear me out. If youve ever owned a Minecraft server you know about the people that go on your server and immediately ask "can I have staff?" and at first this might seem like its stupid and youd never let this person be staff. But instead of saying "NO YOU CANT HAVE STAFF." you can say "You can apply on our website(if you have one)". Turning down players is a good way to get people to leave.Of course, everyone tells you to go advertise on websites such as planetminecraft.com or minecraft-server-list.com. And thats one of the best ways to go about doing it. But advertising on websites is not the only way to get your server out there. Talk to friends about the server and ask them to talk about the server with their friends and to pass it on and eventually youll get more people.
